Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection

Buffalo Trace Distillery has experimented with various mash bills, distilling processes, and aging for years in their never ending quest of bourbon perfection. Some of the experiments became products, and some will yet become products. They accumulated a large number of very small batches of whiskey and chose the best of these to release as their "Experimental Collection". When SPAR was asked to do the design, we were instructed that it must not be seen as a market product but presented as what it was in reality: an experiment. They chose the 375ml bottle that resembles a laboratory sample bottle. The label resembles one that would be used to label such a sample with all the details of that particular bourbon experiment. These are sold in extremely small quantities because the supply is extremely limited. They are so popular with bourbon connoisseurs they are sold out in only a few weeks of release.
