Bacardi Rum Store Display

Bacardi Rum asked SPAR to develop a wire display rack to promote the 750ml PET versions (plastic bottles) of their products. They made the unusual request of wanting the bottles to hang from the flange below the cap instead of stand on a wire shelf like most other display racks. The engineering was complicated when the prototype design submitted by the manufacturer would not hold the heavy weight of the product and allowed the bottles to fall out. (Good thing the bottles are plastic!) SPAR devised a modification to the engineering that stiffened the holders by replacing the wire of the prototype with the same formed-steel material being used to hold the graphics on the display. This proved to be the solution. Sales of Bacardi products from these racks have increased. The racks have proven staying power in the store, as Bacardi has ordered additional graphic packages to update the message to get increased sales mileage from the original order.
